The Metabolic Research Area (MRA) is a small team with specialist skills and therefore we rely heavily on each other as there is not another team with our skills. We rely on every team member being flexible and reliable. Our working hours are dictated by the patients requirements for individual studies. Therefore this may involve early morning measurements, evening measurements, night shifts and weekend working. Our busiest times are school holidays as one of our main studies is working with children. Due to our flexible working ours we are able to offer flexibility in return, where the service enables us to do so. Please see the attached Applicant Information Pack (combined Job Description and Person Specification) for key duties and responsibilities. This vacancy will close at midnight on 19th February 2026 Interviews are due to be held on 26th February 2026 Benefits to you At Cambridge University Hospitals, we want to do all we can to support good working days. Recently we launched the first of our staff pod break spaces. Located in the Deakin Centre, we have a purpose-created colleague-only caf, with free tea and coffee, a break space and private outside area for colleagues to rest, refuel and recharge.
