We are excited to appoint a Breakfast Provision Supervisor to join the team at Dinas Powys Primary School. We are a thriving primary school providing for 450 pupils aged 3–11 across two sites in Dinas Powys. Our pupils are enthusiastic and curious, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere each morning, and they thrive on the positive relationships and routines that the breakfast provision supports. About the role
Pay Details: Grade 1, Scale Point 2, actual salary £2827 per annum.
Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern:1 hour per day totalling 5 hours per week, term time for 38 weeks per year, 7.50am to 8.50am
Main Place of Work:The role is based at the junior site but it is expected that the successful candidate will be able to work at either site as required.
Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Welsh Government’s free breakfast provision. This will include setting up and cleaning away as well as ensuring the children are cared for and well looked after.

The successful candidate will be a warm, reliable and proactive individual who enjoys working with young children and helping them start their day positively. They will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to build nurturing relationships, and the confidence to support pupils aged 3–11 in a busy, welcoming environment. A commitment to safeguarding, promoting positive behaviour, and maintaining a safe, well‑organised breakfast provision is essential. Flexibility, teamwork, and a calm, friendly approach are key qualities for this role.
