Malmesbury C of E Primary School is a large vibrant primary school, with a friendly and dynamic team of staff who are dedicated to making learning challenging, exciting, infectious, and fun. We wish to appoint a creative, committed and caring After School Club Leader to join our outstanding staff team to help provide before and after school childcare with our popular Breakfast and After School Club ‘Peas in the Pod’.
We offer wrap around childcare from mornings and evenings, five days a week, term time only, and the successful applicants will be responsible for carrying out all duties involved in delivering the clubs to the children.
The Breakfast/Afterschool Club Leader will be responsible for creating breakfast menus, procuring resources and devising activities, liaising with the school’s admin team regarding pupil numbers, directing the Breakfast/Afterschool Club Assistants in their work, and communicating with parents, carers and other school staff to ensure the smooth running of the club.
We welcome applicants with the ideas and enthusiasm to continue to develop a successful Breakfast/Afterschool Club. In return we offer the support and guidance of our School Leadership Team and other relevant staff, along with a commitment to your continuing professional development. This role will involve considerable collaboration with a variety of school staff to ensure the Breakfast Club complements the existing outstanding educational provision at Malmesbury C of E Primary School.
The successful candidate will be required to carry out the main duties outlined in the separate job description. Furthermore, we wish to appoint someone who:
Has the ability to lead, motivate and develop a small team.
Is an excellent team worker.
Is passionate about working with children of all ages and supporting them to achieve independence.
Is organised, with good planning and time management skills.
Can build positive relationships and relate well to a wide range of children and adults.
