Owen Payne Recruitments are proud to be working on behalf our client who are a large, well-known family run Distribution and Logistics company.
We are actively seeking an experienced HR Advisor within the Wednesbury area on a straight, permanent contract from day 1.
The purpose of this role is to lead and manage all HR activity across a designated area of the business. As the primary HR point of contact, the role blends hands-on advisory support with overall oversight and accountability for HR operations.

The ideal candidate will possess –
• Must have a CIPD Level 5 qualification or similar experience
• Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor role
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law
• Proven ability to manage employee relations cases independently
• Experience operating within HR administration or shared service environments
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across all levels
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
Key duties of the role include -
• Act as the primary HR contact for a designated business area, with overall accountability for the quality and delivery of HR activity.
• Build strong relationships with managers and provide expert advice on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability cases.
• Oversee HR operational activity, ensuring employee lifecycle processes are accurate, timely and compliant, and act as an escalation point where required.
• Coach and support managers to strengthen people management capability and ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and support the implementation and review of HR policies and best practice.
• Contribute to HR projects and change initiatives within the business area and across the wider organisation.
• Provide HR metrics and insights, using data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
