Clinical Nurse Specialist – Colorectal Services (Band 7)


Location: Bolton NHS Foundation Trust

Are you ready to lead specialist care and transform patient experience?We’re looking for an experienced and passionateClinical Nurse Specialistto lead ourcolorectal, stoma and ERAS team. What We’re Looking For

· Registered Nurse (RGN/RN/RSCN) with a relevant nursing degree.

· Masters-level learning or working towards.

· Proven post-registration experience in colorectal nursing, including stoma care.

· Advanced communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

· Ability to manage a team and work autonomously.

· Strong organisational and IT skills.
Desirable:

· Non-medical prescribing qualification.

· Experience in research, audit, and protocol development.

· Teaching and project management experience.




What You’ll Do

· Provide advanced, evidence-based care for patients with a diagnosis of colorectal cancer, other diseases of the colon and stomas.

· You will be a core member of the Colorectal Multidisciplinary Team overseeing complex patient pathways across primary, secondary and tertiary care.

· The patient experience is central to the delivery of care and the development of our service. You will act as keyworker for the patient and provide specialist advice, support and information for patients, families and carers through treatment and/ or ongoing care ensuring continuity and a holistic approach.

· Provide nurse led cancer follow up clinic s

· Act as an autonomous practitioner and patient advocate.

· Lead service development, implement change, and manage resources effectively.

· Educate and mentor staff, delivering training and presentations.
