Crynodeb
We are looking for hardworking, enthusiastic individuals to join our dedicated team of staff working in Spooner’s.
We can offer you:
• National Living / Minimum wage for age
• Seasonal contract from 23rd March 2026 to 1st November 2026, with the possibility of extension to January 2027
• Flexible shifts to suit candidate; weekends and school holidays shift pattern available

Key duties will include taking out food from the kitchen, clearing tables, loading the dishwasher and doing washing up. Opportunities for progression into basic kitchen duties, assisting the chefs with the preparation of freshly cooked meals from our menus. Experience of working in a café or restaurant would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
An ideal position for recent school leavers, the successful candidate will thrive working in a fast-paced, busy environment. The ideal candidate would be flexible and able to work shifts over days, evenings and weekends. Hours of work will vary and hours may be available to suit candidate.
Core Skills:
• Experience in a Front of House role
• Team player
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work cleanly and tidily
• A basic knowledge and understanding of food and kitchen hygiene is desirable
This is a predominantly Welsh speaking area and the Company operates a bilingual policy. The ability to converse in Welsh is therefore desirable for these posts, but not essential. Knowledge of locations on the Railways and their use by visitors and knowledge of Porthmadog and the surrounding area would be an advantage.
