Crynodeb
We are looking for Bartenders for Spooner's CAMRA award-winning bar.
We can offer you:
• £12.41 per hour rising to £12.91 per hour from 1st April 2026
• Seasonal contract from March 2026 to 1st November 2026, with the possibility of extension to January 2027
• Full time or part time / job share positions available
• The pro rata equivalent of 28 days paid holiday, inclusive of all bank and public holidays

Predominantly working in the evenings, including weekends, key duties will include serving customers at the bar, handling money and clearing tables. Spooner’s works a team so candidates will be expected to help their colleagues waiting on, serving at the café counter or in the kitchen if required. Experience working a busy bar is preferred but not essential, as training will be given to the right candidate.
The successful candidate will thrive working in a fast-paced, buzzing environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work shifts over days, evenings and weekends. Hours available to suit candidate, up to 40 hours per week over 5 shifts.
Core Skills:
• Experience in a Front of House role
• Team player
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work cleanly and tidily
• Knowledge of Cellar Management would be an advantage
• An interest in the drinks industry and knowledge of Cask Ales, Wine and Cocktails is highly desirable
• A basic knowledge and understanding of food and kitchen hygiene is desirable
• The ability to speak Welsh would be an advantage as would knowledge of the railways, their passengers and the local economic market.
