Summary
Your new company
You'll be joining a Tier 1 contractor operating within the highways sector. They deliver major civils projects nationwide with stable project pipelines, and excellent opportunities for long-term progression. Due to an increase in workload and new schemes starting, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join on a long-term temporary basis.
Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support highways projects across North Somerset and surrounding areas. You will work predominantly on‑site (4 days per week) and may have the opportunity to move across different live projects as required. Key responsibilities include managing NEC3/4 contracts, overseeing subcontract packages, completing CVRs, preparing cost plans, and ensuring commercial compliance from start to finish.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience working for a Tier 1 contractor
- Strong Quantity Surveying background within Highways
- Solid working knowledge of NEC3/4
- Experience managing subcontractors
- Ability to prepare accurate CVRs and cost plans
- Comfortable working 4 days per week on site
