About the role

The job will -this will include accompanying people to favoured activities, supporting daily living skills, administering medication and supporting with personal care and mobility assistance, if needed. There are a lot of activities involved which include several outdoor activities, going for cinemas, shows, local holidays and holidays abroad, nature walks, some gardening, visiting historical sites, table top activities and at times trying your luck in video games though you do not need to know anything about this as the people who play these independently.
- Drivers only due to the people we support wanting to go out and about!

About you

Experience in supported living or care work or dormiciliary care will be an added advantage but anyone with the desire to embark on a new challenge even if you have never done this before, this could be an opportunity for you. You need to be adventorous within reason taking calculated risks without placing anyone in danger. You will need to have courage, intergrity, ambition, respect and be prepared to work in partnership with others including families, health officials and landlords. Be prepared to work flexibly. This could include working some weekends, waking nights or sleepins if required and bank holidays. Be prepared to complete all required training either by e-learning or attending courses. You should be able to use use computers to complete training and to record daily activities.

* You have the ability to develop positive working relationships with all those involved with Dimensions - including those we support, families, carers, internal colleagues and external agencies.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS IT'S ESSENTIAL THAT:

* You have basic computer literacy, are able to complete e-learning and can deal with Word documents and forms using a computer.

* You have adequate literacy and numeracy skills for basic forms, financial administration, petty cash and recording on medical charts etc. This will be assessed at interview and support provided throughout your probationary period if required.
* You're willing to undertake training.
