KPI Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Wembley to recruit an experienced and professional School Receptionist for an immediate start. This is a full-time, permanent position within a welcoming and well-organised school environment.
This successful secondary school is known for its strong leadership, excellent student behaviour, and supportive staff culture. The reception area plays a crucial role in maintaining the school’s professional image and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
The Role
As School Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. You will provide a warm, efficient, and professional front-of-house service while supporting wider administrative functions across the school.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Managing the main reception area and greeting visitors
• Handling incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries
• Maintaining visitor signing-in procedures in line with safeguarding requirements
• Supporting attendance monitoring and student sign-in/out processes
• Providing administrative support to the wider office team
• Managing post, deliveries, and general office coordination
• Assisting with school events and parent communications
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of two years’ experience working in a school setting. A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures, school office systems, and the pace of a busy education environment is essential.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• At least 2 years’ experience as a School Receptionist or within a school office environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A calm and professional manner under pressure
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Experience using school systems such as SIMS (desirable)
• A clear understanding of safeguarding and visitor protocols
You will be approachable, proactive, and able to represent the school’s values in all interactions.
