About us:

Established in 1885, Millwall Football Club is one of the most famous football clubs in England. Currently competing in the EFL Championship, they play their home games at The Den, which is based in South Bermondsey, and has been the home of the Club since 1994.





Role Overview:

Millwall Football Club are looking to recruit a highly organised and effective Commercial Partnerships Manager to work within a busy and varied commercial team at this ambitious London football Club. The role is a dual one with responsibility to help drive matchday and Partnership sales, while also account managing existing Partner relationships.

The individual will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end sales process to secure new commercial partners for the club, while also overseeing the management of existing client relationships.

Maintaining strong relations with existing clients, and building relationships with new prospects and brands, ensuring regular contact and excellent client service while driving repeat business.

The role is an integral part of the Commercial department, as one of the first points of contact for client enquiries, and requires an individual who is organised, and able to take responsibility for a varied personal workload, while supporting senior members of the commercial team with additional high-profile projects. This is an exciting time to join the club with many new Partnerships, ambitious plans for the future and a professional team working within a friendly, collaborative culture.



Key Responsibilities:

The role includes, but is not limited to:

Supporting Head of Commercial and Chief Commercial Officer with Departmental Partnerships sales pipeline.
Researching, approaching and scheduling meetings with potential partners of the club, helping to build bespoke rights packages and pitching to clients.
Actively contribute to the innovation of new commercial products and strategy.
Account managing current seasonal and matchday Partners of the Club – meeting regularly with contacts, ensuring complete rights delivery and devising new creative activations.
Managing delivery of key rights such as player access, brand visibility, ticket delivery and social content activations working with colleagues in different departments across the club.
Maintain excellent internal relationships to understand their roles and how they can help to maximise sales while assisting in delivery of club objectives.
Overseeing Commercial Partnerships Executive and managing their workload and personal development.
Ensuring total accuracy of record keeping, including financial records, personal and department sales and individual partner rights tracking/utilisations.
Being an initial point of contact of the Commercial Department regarding phone and email enquiries.
Working home matchdays, overseeing partner activations, introductions and pitch side activities.
Supporting Commercial colleagues with other day-to-day duties as required.



Essential / Desired Requirements:

Commercial and sales mindset with at least two years’ experience securing sponsorship in the sports industry
Knowledge of sport in general and football in particular
Excellent attention to Detail and personal organisation
Effective communication skills both written and oral
A self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work flexibly with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Outgoing personality and natural networker
