Contract type: Full time and part time contracts available
Rate: £12.71ph (increasing to £12.81ph upon completion of care certificate)

As a Health Care Assistant, you’ll support adults living with complex care needs to live their best lives.

We support adults living with complex mental health needs, dementia and physical disabilities. The home's Robin Unit is exclusively for people who identify as male.

About the role

Our Health Care Assistants support people to live their best lives, whatever that looks like to them.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

encouraging and engaging people in learning and developing their daily living skills and independence
recognising when people are unwell and providing the appropriate support
supporting people with their personal care such as getting washed, having a shower and getting dressed
assisting people at meal times
supporting people with their health and wellbeing needs
encouraging people to take part in social activities, both inside and outside the home
promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect at all times
filling in care records.

About you

You’re also:

experienced in a similar care environment, with people with complex needs
caring, kind, understanding and calm
able to deal with, and defuse, challenging situations
energetic and outgoing, with a positive, can-do attitude
a great listener and communicator.

We’ll help you feel right at home from the start with our induction, buddy and ongoing training programmes.
