Job Title: Children’s Support Worker
Location: Residential & Supported Living Settings – Preston
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Permanent & Temporary Positions Available
Job Overview:
We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Children’s Support Workers to join our team within Residential and Supported Living settings. You will be supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), challenging behaviour, and complex needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in line with individual care plans
• Support children with EBD, challenging behaviour, and complex needs in a safe and structured environment
• Promote positive behaviour management strategies
• Assist with daily living activities, education support, and social development
• Maintain accurate records and complete incident reports as required
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
• Minimum 6 months UK experience working with children and young people (preferably within Residential or Supported Living settings)
• Experience supporting children with EBD, challenging behaviour, and complex needs
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
