Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant

Pay: £90 to £100 per day depending on experience


Your new company
Hays Education are seeking dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Stratford-upon-Avon. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the learning and development of children with special educational needs. Working as part of a supportive school team, you will help pupils with a range of needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, and social/emotional needs (SEMH). Each day will bring new challenges and opportunities to make a difference.

Your new role

  • Providing 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with SEN
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and adapting learning activities
  • Helping pupils stay engaged, focused and confident
  • Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Creating an inclusive, encouraging learning environment


What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with children or young people (school or care setting)
  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Ability to adapt quickly and use initiative
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Hays)
