Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant in Wolverhampton looking for a rewarding full‑time SEN role?A special school in the Westcroft area (WV) is seeking a resilient and confident 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with autism who currently requires 2:1 support. This is a long‑term, full‑time position, working alongside an experienced TA to provide consistent, structured support in an offsite setting.
⭐ Key Responsibilities
- Full‑time hours: 8:45am - 3:15pm, Monday to Friday
- Working 1:1 with a child with autism who displays communication and behavioural needs.
- Providing 2:1 support as part of a small, supportive team.
- Supporting the child offsite, using structured activities and tailored interventions to promote engagement and emotional regulation.
- Building trust and routine through a calm, nurturing and consistent approach.
⭐ Ideal Candidate
- Experience supporting children with autism (ASC) within a school, alternative provision, PRU or specialist setting.
- Resilient, patient and confident managing challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Able to work effectively as part of a supportive 2:1 team.
- Reliable, committed and passionate about making a difference.
