An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer to join a dynamic Operations Support Team within a high‑performance manufacturing environment based in Broughton. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational abilities, technical awareness, and a passion for continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a key part in enabling smooth operational flow and supporting production teams in delivering to exacting standards.

This is a contract position running until February 2027 working full time hours of 35 hours per week.

As a Project Officer, you will support the operational performance of the production environment through a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Acting as a link between engineering, design, and operations to resolve production‑related blockers.
  • Managing and maintaining consumables and tooling to ensure availability and readiness.
  • Liaising with Facilities and Services teams to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements and delivery requirements.
  • Providing a key interface between Operations and the Tool Control Centre, including calibration process coordination.
  • Supporting Capex projects and wider facility improvement activities.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities aligned with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Supporting the safety function with compliance across health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Conducting financial analysis, reporting, and cost control activities.
  • Maintaining and supporting lean systems and processes.
  • Upholding 5C/housekeeping standards.
  • Contributing to visual management systems and process improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • General knowledge of assembly tools and production techniques (ideally within a complex manufacturing environment).
  • Experience working with tooling, calibration, and procedural documentation.
  • A strong ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Practical IT competence with common PC packages (essential) and experience with SAP (desirable).
  • Understanding of lean systems and manufacturing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with TCMI (desirable).
