Summary

Participate inRCPathCPD activities andmaintaincompliance withannual minimumcredit requirements Participate in teaching and training of staff at all grades including medical speciality trainees,studentsand laboratory staff Maintain compliance with annual appraisal and medical revalidation requirements Clinical Responsibilities The appointee will be expected to provide laboratory liaison, experthistologicalandcytologicaladvice Demonstrate extensive use of personal judgement, based on experience and knowledge that may directly affect patient management. Share oversight of the processing of specimens in the laboratory, as well as provide reporting and clinical advice with other Consultant colleagues Telephone liaisonanddiscussionofindividualclinical casesin a timely mannerto meet local Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Adviceregardingdiagnostic tests,interpretation of results, general patient management toclinical teams Interpretationand reportingof laboratory test results. Supporting mortuary services through the provision of post mortem and digital autopsy reporting. Responsibilities for carrying out teaching,examinationand accreditation duties asrequired, and for contributing to post-graduate and continuing medical education activity, locally,regionallyand nationally.
