Summary


Please note, at this stage, the role is open only to internal staff (including NHSP and Agency staff currently on placement within our organisation) and staff substantively employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any individual who is at risk of redundancy will be given priority, provided they meet the essential criteria.

Are you passionate about making a real difference to staff safety and patient care? The Promoting Safe Services team offer training to all staff in managing and reducing the use of restrictive practices, contributing to both patient and staff safety through specialist input across services.
• The post holder is responsible for delivering all training curriculums across the Trust.
• They will lead facilitation of accredited training and ensure that all legislation and guidance is adhered to.
• They will be part of a dynamic team but also be able to work independently.

The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Work as part of a team

• To deliver Promoting Safe Services training, both theoretical and practical, across all services.

• To work with the Promoting Safe Services Manager and team in reviewing theoretical elements and practical techniques in adherence to guidance and evidenced best practices.

• Work with Senior Tutors in contributing to the personal development of the training assistants.

· To maintain the Trust’s professional accreditation in line with national standards.

· To meet with staff at all levels to discuss and promote Safe Services practises.

· To work with the Promoting Safer Services training team in offering quality training reflective of service needs.
