We are looking for a personal assistant to help provide support to a 4-year-old boy to get out and about, assist with days out with his family and to support him to have fun.
We are looking for someone who can support our client in the house, to go out to the park and overall to support him to have fun. Our client enjoys play activities just like at school.
Ideally, we would like someone who has experience and is confident interacting with children who have additional needs, who can think of other activities for our client to get involved with.
Our client has a cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Our client is also tube fed and requires regular suction. Training can be given to any applicant for this role. There will be some personal care involved in this role also. Our client is also non ambulant and nonverbal, although you will be able to learn what he wants quickly.
Applicants must have a caring and patient attitude and be extremely reliable. Being a driver would be beneficial but not essential.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
We would ask that you write a small paragraph about yourself which will allow the family to gain a better idea of why you would be perfect for this role.
To apply for this post please submit a copy of your CV quoting the job reference number above by email recruitment@sdsoptionsfife.org.uk or by post to SDS Options (Fife), DPHS Fife, Caledonia House, Pentland Park, Saltire Centre, Glenrothes, Fife, KY6 2AL
