Job Purpose
- To provide 1:1 community-based support to a gentleman, enabling him to live an active, fulfilling life while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. Due to the personal nature of care involved, this role is subject to a genuine occupational requirement for a male support worker.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, person-centred support in the community
- Support the individual to attend gym sessions, swimming, and physical activities
- Accompany and assist with days out, leisure activities, and social engagement
- Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in chosen activities
- Provide personal care and practical support where required, maintaining dignity and respect
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, and support guidelines
- Maintain clear communication with management and report any concerns promptly
- Ensure health, safety, and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
- Act as a positive role model and provide consistent, reliable support
Working Hours
- Saturdays only
- Approx. 12:00pm–6:00pm
- Start and finish times can be negotiated
Accountability
- Responsible to the Registered Manager / Care Management Team
- Works in line with company policies, procedures, and CQC standards
Essential Requirements
- Male applicant (genuine occupational requirement)
- Reliable and committed to regular Saturday work
- Comfortable supporting swimming, gym, and community-based activities
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to build positive, professional relationships
- Willingness to undertake a DBS check and mandatory training
- Full UK driving licence

- Previous experience in health, social care, or support work
- Interest in fitness, sport, or community engagement
Training and Support
- Full induction and mandatory training provided
- Ongoing management support and supervision
