Thrive Education is delighted to be recruiting a Senior SEN Learning Support Assistant (HLTA Level) for one of our specialist partner provisions based near Bere Alston, Devon.

This unique SEN setting supports children and young people aged 7-19 with Autism (ASD) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including trauma and attachment-related difficulties. The school offers a highly supportive, nurturing environment where consistency, relationships, and emotional safety are central to learning.

This is a varied and rewarding HLTA-level position with real responsibility and influence. You'll work closely with teaching staff to support learning, lead targeted interventions, and provide guidance to other support staff.

Your role will include:
- Supporting teachers to adapt and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum
- Leading small-group and 1:1 interventions to support academic progress and emotional wellbeing
- Helping pupils develop emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence
- Acting as a consistent, trusted adult for learners with additional needs
- Planning, delivering, and reviewing interventions to measure impact
- Mentoring and supporting Teaching Assistants, sharing best practice and SEN strategies

We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN, SEMH, and/or Autism
- Understand behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Communicate clearly and build strong, trusting relationships
- Remain calm, compassionate, and professional in challenging situations
- Are confident leading interventions and supporting colleagues
- Are proactive, reflective, and committed to professional development

Previous HLTA experience is highly desirable, but strong SEN experience and leadership qualities are equally important.

We genuinely care about our people.

You'll benefit from:
- Competitive daily rates (PAYE or Umbrella options)
- Long-term and permanent opportunities
- Ongoing CPD and SEN-specific training
- Support from a friendly, local agency that puts people first
- Access to wellbeing support, rewards, and discounts
- A £100 referral bonus when someone you recommend completes 20 days with us
