The Opportunity
Our civil engineering client is delivering a £2.9 billion nuclear construction project, and we are seeking an HR Liaison Officer to act as the essential link between project teams, HR leadership, and onsite personnel. You will support day‑to‑day HR operations, employee relations, compliance, and workforce coordination within a highly regulated environment. This is a unique opportunity to directly support the people who are delivering one of the UK’s most critical infrastructure programmes.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR matters within project teams, ensuring clear communication and timely support.
- Assist in implementing HR policies, procedures, and workforce initiatives aligned with project objectives.
- Support recruitment coordination, onboarding, induction processes, and mobilisation for a large, multi‑disciplinary workforce.
- Ensure compliance with employment law, nuclear site requirements, and security clearance processes.
- Provide advice to managers on routine employee relations matters, performance queries, and HR best practice.
- Support the delivery of employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion activities.
- Maintain accurate HR records, assist with reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise closely with HR Managers, site leadership, and external stakeholders to ensure consistent people processes across the project.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR qualification.
- Experience working in HR roles within large projects, construction, engineering, or complex organisational environments.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR processes.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.

It’s great if you also have the following:

- Experience in regulated environments such as nuclear, defence, energy, or infrastructure.
- Familiarity with HR systems and digital workforce tools.
- Understanding of project‑based HR challenges, workforce mobilisation, or site‑based HR operations.

You will work on-site within a highly secure and regulated environment, collaborating closely with project leadership and HR teams to support effective workforce operations on one of the UK’s most significant nuclear infrastructure programmes.
