Location: Dumbarton G82 2SS

Shift Pattern:Monday-Thursday

Shift Hours: 26 Hours, 07:00-14:00

Rate Of Pay:£12.60 per hour, plus Sodexobenefits.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join our catering team atDumbarton G82 2SS. This is a customer-facing role where you will play a key part in delivering high-quality food and beverage services while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer care.

Purpose of the Role

To provide excellentcustomer service through the preparation, presentation, and service of food andbeverages, ensuring client and customer satisfaction at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, presentation, and service in line with company standards
  • Provide a friendly, efficient, and professional service to customers
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment
  • Serve customers during service periods and operate the till accurately
  • Complete sales records, temperature checks, and delivery checks
  • Prepare and deliver hospitality services as required
  • Clean all catering areas, equipment, and utensils in line with cleaning schedules
  • Refill and clean vending machines where applicable
  • Set up service counters and ensure adequate stock levels throughout service
  • Report customer feedback, incidents, or issues promptly
  • Support special events and functions, including occasional work outside normal hours
  • Undertake training and comply with all health, safety, food hygiene, and allergen regulations
  • Provide cover in other areas during holidays or busy periods

  • Previous experience in food handling or catering (desirable)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to follow food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards
  • A positive, reliable, and flexible approach to work
  • High standards of personal hygiene and presentation
