The Quality Management Systems Manager plays a critical role in ensuring consistent, high‑quality processes, products, and customer experiences across all global business locations. This position leads the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001 and driving excellence in quality performance, process management, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Certification- Maintain and improve processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 across all company sites.
- Lead proactive quality management initiatives using best-practice tools such as APQP to enhance products, processes, and customer satisfaction.
- Support the design, rollout, and continuous improvement of business processes by working closely with key departments.
- Administer and develop the Promapp Process Management System and the Process Documentation Centre (PDC), including training and reporting on key process metrics.
- Provide data analytics to help process owners and leaders identify improvement opportunities.
- Monitor and maintain all Quality Department KPIs, driving focused continuous improvement actions.
- Act as an escalation point for quality issues, ensuring structured problem-solving approaches (e.g., 8D, DMAIC) are applied across customer service, engineering, production, and project teams.
- Improve customer satisfaction through effective complaint resolution and reporting.
- Provide quality expertise for pre‑qualification questionnaires, contracts, and customer audits.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer quality representatives during audits and contract discussions.
- Support the creation of quality plans for specific projects or contracts.
- Coordinate and lead internal audit programmes, conducting system audits and presenting findings and recommendations.
- Maintain and enhance quality-related content on the company intranet to improve the visibility and accessibility of quality information.
- Contribute to business‑wide continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Deliver training and coaching on quality tools and improvement techniques.
- Stay informed about company structure, products, and customers through training, internal communications, and cross‑department engagement.
- Provide deputy support for the Quality Manager when required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential- IT literate with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experienced in applying quality improvement tools.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with IT‑based QMS tools (e.g., Promapp, QPulse, MasterControl).
- Ability to apply APQP techniques.
- Experience in manufacturing complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Familiarity with EFQM frameworks.
- SharePoint experience.
Qualifications
Essential- Minimum 5 years' experience in quality environments within engineering, manufacturing, marine, or defence sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical preferred).
- Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (or equivalent).
- Membership of CQI or ASQ.
