We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us here an Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
You will provide expert clinical care and support for patients within Pain management.
Act as a resource for the multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality specialist nursing care.

You will Manage a defined caseload of complex patients.
Provide specialist advice and clinical expertise to patients, families, and staff.
Undertake advanced assessments and implement evidence-based interventions.
Coordinate care pathways to improve patient outcomes.
Act as a role model for clinical excellence and contribute to staff education and development within the clinical area.
Deliver formal and informal education sessions to MDT and students.
Maintain own professional development in line with NMC standards.
Provide clear explanations of clinical information, including treatment options and care plans, adapting communication style to meet individual needs.
Represent and support patients’ views and preferences in clinical discussions, ensuring their voice is heard in decision-making processes.
Deliver clinical interventions and treatments within the scope of practice, ensuring evidence-based care. Ensure the safe and effective implementation of specialist modalities of pain relief for the patient in acute and/or chronic pain, including Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA), epidural analgesia, Local Anaesthetic infusions and Entonox.
Contribute to financial planning and forecasting, providing input on resource requirements and cost-saving initiatives.
