An excellent opportunity for an experienced Cabinet Maker / Furniture Maker / Bench Joiner to join a well-established company!

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: Competitive Salary of £40,000 - £50,000 PA, Depending on Experience.
Location: Melbourn, Cambridgeshire SG8.

About The Role:

The company is seeking to hire at least one dedicated Bench Joiner/Cabinet-Maker to join their small team, working closely with the company director and designer.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years workshop experience and the ability to fabricate and assemble high-quality cabinets and furniture. You will have skill, attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work with various hand tools and machinery. Good knowledge of materials, processes and fittings would be an advantage as you will be creating bespoke cabinetry from scratch.

Responsibilities Include:

• Fabricate cabinets specialising in kitchens and domestic furniture
• Assemble components using appropriate joinery techniques to ensure durability and aesthetics.
• Use hand tools and power tools and machinery safely and effectively
• Conduct painting or finishing work to enhance the appearance of completed projects (optional)
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

• Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a similar woodworking role
• Knowledge of joinery techniques and woodworking principles
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery relevant to cabinet making
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Must have the right to work in the UK
• Provide reference (will be followed up on)
