As a Smoke Free Pregnancy Practitioner you will work with the Consultant Midwife for Public Health to deliver smoking cessation support to women and birthing people within the maternity service at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fixed term contract due to end in March 2029.
As a Smoke Free Pregnancy Practitioner you will act as a member of the care team working under the supervision and guidance of registered midwives and other professional staff. The role will require a flexible approach to care delivery, which may include visiting women in their homes, at children’s centres, or within the hospital setting.
Driver’s licence and access to car essential for the role.
The key duties of the Smoke Free Pregnancy Practitioner will be:
• Providing smoking cessation support
• Delivering interventions such as Carbon Monoxide Monitoring, Nicotine Replacement Therapy and behavioural support after relevant training
• Managing own clinics and caseload
• Engaging with data collection and reporting
