Salary: Up to £52,000 DOE FTE

Hours: 30 hours per week, 08:15am- 16:15pm - Monday to Friday (with a degree of flexibility)

Contract: Permanent – Term Time only

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join our developing Clinical Team based at Heath Farm College in Maidstone and Medway Green School in Rochester working 2 days a week at each site.

In this exciting role, you will work collaboratively to deliver bespoke assessment, and intervention plans for pupils with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs.

You will implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to helping our pupils in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and healthy. Undertaking all aspects of Psychotherapy clinical duties, you will adhere to professional and regulatory guidelines, carrying out specialist individual assessments and interventions, and preparing relevant documentation, including writing reports. A significant element of this role will be working alongside the onsite clinical team to continue to develop the clinical service provision, including providing support and training to staff and parents.

Essential Criteria:

Evidence of recognised professional qualification as Psychotherapist, either Level 7 (e.g. Master’s degree) or above OR Level 6 relevant degree alongside relevant therapeutic diploma/s and experience of working with relevant client group and using relevant methods of service delivery.
Registered member of one or more of the following bodies: HCPC, BACP, BABCP, PTUK, NCPC, UKCP.
Integrative therapist, CBT informed
Not newly qualified, more than 2 years’ experience
Specialist education setting experience/working therapeutically within a school/child and adolescent – preferred.
Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
Experience of working with people with neurodivergence and/or complex needs (e.g., complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, mental health needs)
Ability to work independently as agreed under supervision
Experience of multi-professional work teams or services within designated speciality
Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
