Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, ensuring each child's individual needs are met.
- Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised and welcoming nursery setting.
- Drive initiatives that encourage children's social, emotional, and physical development through creative play.
Experience
- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide activities and support fellow practitioners within the nursery environment.
- A passion for childcare and a commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all children is vital.
