Summary
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruction and Delivery:
• Deliver pre-planned lessons in subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, History, and others as required.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of different classes and age groups.
• Ensure that students remain engaged and on-task during lessons.
Classroom Management:
• Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to handle any behavioral issues.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
• Quickly familiarize yourself with lesson plans and classroom routines.
• Be prepared to cover different subjects and grade levels as needed.
• Adapt to the varying needs and dynamics of different classrooms.
Communication and Collaboration:
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as necessary.
• Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure a smooth transition between lessons.
• Provide feedback to regular teachers on students' progress and any issues encountered.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
• Stay informed about the school's policies and procedures.
• Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-classroom activities.
• Assist with administrative tasks as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or school administration.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (preferable).
• Previous teaching experience at the secondary school level is preferred.
• Experience with diverse student populations and inclusive education practices (Preferred).
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of adolescent development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to different classroom environments.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.
