One part-time (6 PAs) Specialty Doctor in Endodontics position, working every week, has become available within the Restorative Department at Barts Health Trust. This is part-time post and will be based within the Dental Hospital at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.
Barts Health is a provider for advanced Restorative Dentistry, to patient groups including Cancer, Hypodontia, Cleft and Trauma. The Restorative Department is a Centre of Excellence in the management of patients requiring specialist restorative care. The post entails provision of endodontic treatment and care, to a high standard, for patients of the Restorative Department under the direction and guidance of the Consultants. The post holder is also expected to participate in professional dental responsibilities, support Junior Dentists caring for patients and assisting in day-to-day running of the Endodontic service. There may also be an opportunity to engage in postgraduate clinical teaching activities.
The role is to provide endodontice treatment and support the Restorative Dentistry team. You will also be required to engage in teaching where possible across the clinical team supporting the learning of our junior colleages StR’s and DCT’s.
Applicants should possess full registration with the General Dental Council (UK) and hold or be within 12 months of completing postgraduate Masters qualification in Endodontics or equivalent; knowledge and clinical experience of secondary care in Endodontics are also essential.
