All about the Role

You will work alongside qualified social workers to support in promoting the welfare of children and young people, their families and the services they receive.

The role will be to work directly with families and young people in our care and community.

You will be supporting parents/foster carers/carers to develop their skills in developing routines, boundaries and managing behaviours that challenge.
You will also be undertaking direct work with children and young people to ensure their voice and views are at the heart of everything we do.

The role will involve extensive interactions with key partner agencies, including education and health, to further promote and achieve sustainable change within children and young peoples lives.

The role will involve direct work with children, young people and adults in an array of settings.

The Corporate Parenting Service is dedicated to supporting children and young people who are in care, preparing to leave care, or have already left care. The teams work closely with families, promoting welfare and ensuring that the voices and views of children and young people are central to everything they do. Practitioners collaborate with qualified social workers and key partner agencies

All about You

- We are looking for someone with a passion to support and enable every child and young person to experience safe and supportive care to reach their full potential.
- The successful candidate will have experience of working with children and able be able to demonstrate an understanding of the challenges, children, young people and their families face.
- Someone able to work relationally and in a family valued approach with our Children and Young People
- Someone who has previously worked with and has an understanding of working with children/ young people who have experienced trauma.

Interviews will be held on the 18th and 19th February so please ensure you are able to commute to Peterborough on one of these dates
