Summary

Part Time Administrative Assistant
Starting salary between £24414 and £28152 (pro-rata) per annum

18.5hrs per week - Monday 13.30 – 17.00 and Tuesday to Friday 13.15 – 17.00
Based at Mintlyn Crematorium, King’s Lynn

We are looking for a highly organised and compassionate Administrative Assistant to join our busy Mintlyn Crematorium team, providing essential support to Funeral Directors, bereaved families, and visitors to the service. This varied role includes booking cremations, checking and processing statutory paperwork, updating our administration system (BACAS), responding to telephone and email enquiries, and assisting at the public enquiries desk.

You will also help with memorial sales and enquiries, take payments, prepare routine correspondence, manage incoming and outgoing post, and ensure cremation records and documentation are accurately scanned, indexed, and filed. As a first point of contact for families and funeral directors, you will offer clear and sensitive guidance, referring more complex matters to senior colleagues as required.

You will have excellent communication skills, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to work accurately to deadlines. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database systems is essential. You will also bring an appreciation of the needs of the bereaved and be confident managing a busy and varied workload with professionalism at all times.
