The role:
We’re bringing high-quality cosmetic refinishing in-house. You’ll refinish small mobile-device parts to a consistent visual standard using an airbrush/fine-spray setup.

This is precise work. If you’re proud of clean edges, consistent coverage, and repeatable results, you’ll like it here.

Clean, heated workshop with proper extraction and curing equipment already in place.

What you’ll be working on:
• Frames and housings (metals: aluminium, stainless steel, titanium)
• Small components such as buttons and camera rings
• Prep is roughly 20% of the job; spraying/finishing is ~80%

What you’ll do:
• Prep parts for paint (clean, mask, degrease, key surfaces)
• Apply primer / basecoat / clearcoat to a consistent finish
• Cure/dry parts using our existing extraction and curing setup
• Spot and fix defects early (runs, dust, orange peel, thin edges, colour mismatch)
• Keep spray kit, booth, and workspace clean and safe
• Follow PPE and safe handling procedures

What we’re looking for:
You don’t need phone experience. You do need proven spray control and a quality mindset.

• Confident with airbrush or fine spray work (small parts/detail finishing)
• Strong prep discipline and consistency
• Comfortable working to a process and maintaining standards
• Reliable communicator (English good enough to work safely and coordinate with the team)
• Right to work in the UK
• DBS check required, the company will arrange.
(Driving licence not required)

Good backgrounds (examples):
• Automotive smart repair / trim refinishing
• Small-part coating / component finishing
• Watch/jewellery restoration or cosmetic repair
• Model making / miniature painting / RC painting
• Custom product painting (controllers, helmets, trainers, etc.)

Pay and assessment:
• £15–£20/hour depending on what you can demonstrate
• Paid half-day trial available as part of the hiring process (skills-based)

This can become a senior role fast if you perform. We want someone who can grow into:

• Process owner
• Trainer for new starters
•QC lead for cosmetic standards

Benefits & Rewards:
• Competitive hourly rate (£15–£20 per hour)
• Permanent position with long-term stability
• Private company pension contribution
• 33 days annual leave including Bank Holidays
• Paid birthday leave after two years’ service
• Additional annual leave awarded for length of service
• Opportunity to play a key role in expanding a growing refurbishment operation
• Staff discounts across refurbished technology
• Free onsite parking
Company-funded team events and socials
