We are looking for a Administrative officer to join the team here at Cherry Lodge to cover a period of maternity leave.

This role is for 12 hours a week and the salary advertised is the FTE. Therefore the salary will be pro rata accordingly.

As an administrative officer here at Cherry Lodge you will work alongside colleagues within finance, procurement, payroll, HR and other PCC departments to ensure systems and processes are implemented and to assist with problem-solving should irregularities arise.

In this role you will provide efficient, effective and timely administrative and secretarial support to the manager and staff team.

This will include working to administrative processes delegated by the manager which align to the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 ensuring those records which need to be accessed during Ofsted inspections and Regulation 44 visits are available and current.

This is a varied role and will include administration to do with all aspect of the running of home, from finance to ordering stock.

Cherry Lodge is a local authority children's home and offers short breaks and shared care placements to children and young people with severe disabilities, complex health and behaviours that challenge between the ages of 5 and 19. It has a dedicated and knowledgeable staff team who are child focused and thrive to provide young people with opportunities, development and experiences.

All about You

A knowledge and understanding of effective office systems
Ability to accurately record and update information electronically and in writing
Good organisational and office management skills
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Good numerical skills in order to maintain and monitor good budgetary records and reports
Experience of using computer applications such as Word, Outlook and Excel.
Good general education to GCSE or equivalent level
