Up to £120 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)
We are recruiting an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Waltham Forest, working with students who have complex needs and physical disabilities.
This role requires a confident and compassionate individual with essential experience supporting complex SEND, including pupils who may be wheelchair users or have physical disabilities. You will support students both within the classroom and around the school site, ensuring accessibility, inclusion and engagement in learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for students with complex needs
- Support pupils with physical disabilities, including wheelchair users
- Assist with mobility and access around the school site
- Implement EHCP strategies and individual support plans
- Work closely with teachers, SENCo and external professionals
- Promote independence, dignity and inclusion at all times
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Essential experience supporting students with complex SEND
- Experience working with pupils with physical disabilities or mobility needs
- A calm, patient and professional approach
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
- Confidence supporting students both academically and pastorally
- Background in specialist provision, SEN schools or care settings (desirable)
