About the Role

As an Tutor or Teacher, you will work with children, teenagers and young people who may be disengaged from mainstream education. Learners are often referred by schools or local authorities and may present with a range of SEND and SEMH needs.

Your role will include both educational and pastoral support, helping learners to build confidence, communication skills and trust alongside their academic development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering in-person tuition to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD and additional learning needs

  
  

• Supporting learners from KS1 to KS5 (depending on your experience and preference)

  
  

• Planning and delivering flexible, individualised and trauma-informed sessions

  
  

• Providing pastoral support, mentoring and emotional regulation strategies where needed

  
  

• Building positive relationships to help pupils re-engage with education

  
  

• Monitoring progress and providing regular feedback to support continued development

  
  We’re Looking For Tutors and Teachers Who Have:

  • Professional teaching qualifications, such as CELTA, TEFL, TESOL, or QTS

    
    

  • Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, ideally within SEND settings

    
    

  • Experience supporting learners with SEMH needs, and increasing involvement with MLD, SLD and PMLD

    
    

  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach to learning and behaviour

    
    

  • Experience using or an interest in therapeutic and trauma-informed practices
