Job Title: Plumbing Assessor

Location: Leicester
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and industry-experienced Plumbing Assessor to join our established team at a Further Education college in Leicester. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to support and develop apprentices and learners across a range of plumbing qualifications.

The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing learners in the workplace, ensuring timely progress, high-quality evidence collection and successful achievement of qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and support learners undertaking Plumbing Apprenticeships and related qualifications


  • Carry out workplace assessments and reviews in line with awarding body standards


  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to ensure learner progression


  • Monitor learner progress against agreed targets and maintain accurate documentation


  • Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance and awarding organisation requirements


  • Support learners with functional skills where required


  • Work collaboratively with curriculum and employer partners to maintain high standards


    Essential Requirements

    • Level 3 qualification in Plumbing (or equivalent)


    • Industry experience within the plumbing sector


    • Assessing qualification (CAVA, A1, TAQA or equivalent) or willingness to work towards


    • Strong knowledge of current industry standards and apprenticeship frameworks


    • Excellent organisational and communication skills


    • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle


      Desirable

      • Experience assessing apprentices within an FE or training provider setting


      • IQA qualification (or working towards)


      • Knowledge of EPA requirements
