Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide assistance and care to children in need. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to implement care plans effectively. This role involves driving to various locations, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children under your care.

Responsibilities

Provide personal support and assistance to children in various settings, including home and community environments.
Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
Maintain clear and effective communication with children, families, and other professionals involved in the care process.
Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, hygiene routines, and educational support.
Drive children to appointments, activities, or school as required.
Document progress and any changes in behaviour or circumstances accurately in IT systems.
Foster a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being of each child.
Requirements

Previous experience working with children is essential.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Has or is willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
A valid driving licence is required for this position.
Knowledge of childcare practices and principles is highly desirable.
Ability to create and follow care plans tailored to individual needs.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children and families.
