This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Designer to join a growing and experienced design team. The business delivers custom-built joinery solutions to commercial clients across the UK, with projects primarily within office fit-out, leisure, and hospitality environments. Applications are welcomed from both Junior and Senior level candidates.

• Converting architects’ or designers’ drawings (including sketches) into workable manufacturing drawings for bespoke joinery.
• Creating DXF files for CNC machinery and coordinating requirements with the Production Manager.
• Attending design meetings with clients, architects, internal project managers and production teams.
• Supporting value engineering processes by reviewing cost implications and proposing practical design or material alternatives where appropriate.
• Uploading, issuing and managing drawing revisions internally and externally via email and document control portals.
• Creating and managing RFIs from initial design brief through to project completion.
• Liaising with clients, architects, project managers and production teams throughout each project lifecycle.
• Attending site to conduct detailed surveys to support the design, manufacture and installation process where required.
• Managing workload effectively and working to project deadlines.
• Using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and undertaking training on internal document control and HR systems as required.

Experience & key skills:

• Previous experience within a joinery manufacturing environment, ideally within a design/drawing office.
• Strong 2D AutoCAD capability is essential.
• Experience producing manufacturing drawings for bespoke joinery.
• 3D modelling and/or CGI rendering experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Understanding of commercial interior fit-out environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt within a fast-paced project environment.
