Crynodeb

Do you want to work for a dynamic, creative, fast-paced charity?

At Action Together we see the amazing things people achieve when they work together to make the lives of others better. If you share our values: believe it’s possible, strengthen others, and be true, we’d love you to consider joining our team.

Systems Change Coordinator (Anti-Poverty)

This role will lead our work on anti-poverty, facilitating, leading and developing a strategic approach to bring together diverse VCFSE groups to connect, share different perspectives and address the root causes of poverty in the borough.

You will take ownership of this area of work (anti-poverty and related thematic areas of food and digital inclusion) and will provide strategic representation to further drive change and effectively influence voice and power. A key focus of the work is around shifting the relationship between statutory and voluntary organisations, to collaboratively make decisions, direct resources and measure impact.

Using your relationship building skills, you will work with system leaders across the public sector to grow the power and influence of our networks. You will connect the work of the networks into strategic decision-making spaces and identify opportunities for influence.

You will take shared responsibility and ownership of the team budget and where appropriate identify and collaborate with other organisations to apply for grants to deliver projects.

The ideal candidate

We’re looking for someone rooted in community, driven by social justice, and experienced in both facilitation and programme management. You’ll understand the VCFSE sector and naturally build strong, trusting relationships across organisations.

You’ll be a skilled influencer who brings people together, works well in partnerships and helps shape practical solutions. Clear communication comes easily to you, whether writing reports or presenting to different audiences. You can also think strategically and make thoughtful decisions that support meaningful, long‑term change.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

At Action Together we value diversity, promote equity and challenge discrimination. We encourage and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We are committed to ensuring that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status, or race.

In order to ensure equity of opportunity, Action Together offers a guaranteed interview to any candidate meeting the essential criteria as listed in the person specification who identifies as a disabled person. Further information and instructions can be found in section 7 of the application form.

Action Together is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, young people and vulnerable adults with whom we work. We expect all of our employees to demonstrate this commitment.

Right to work

We do not hold a Sponsor License and are unable to accept applications which require sponsorship to work in the UK.

Please note, the successful candidates will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure and barring Service (DBS) check. A positive Disclosure of Offences will not automatically bar an applicant from being appointed and suitable applicants will not be refused employment because of offences that are not relevant.

Support for applicants
