LOCATION: Saltburn-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30, Friday 07:00 to 14:00 (39 hours per week)
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Candidates MUST hold a full driving licence

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Goods Technician / Manufacturing Operative to join a busy subcontract mechanical engineering workshop during an exciting period of investment and growth.
As a Goods Technician / Manufacturing Operative you will support the preparation, finishing and movement of precision-engineered components, ensuring goods are safely cleaned, packaged and ready for despatch. You will also contribute to general labouring and site upkeep duties.
This Goods Technician / Manufacturing Operative role is well suited to someone with workshop experience who enjoys practical, varied work and takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality and care.

DUTIES
Your duties as a Goods Technician / Manufacturing Operative will include:
• De-Burring and Cleaning: Preparing finished components to required standards
• Packaging Finished Goods: Safely packing items ready for despatch
• Labouring Support: Assisting with general workshop tasks as required
• Blasting And Painting: Supporting surface preparation activities
• Driving Duties: Moving goods and materials when required
• Site Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
• Hands-on experience within a mechanical engineering or workshop environment
• Previous experience carrying out practical, physical tasks such as labouring
• Experience using abrasive wheels or similar equipment
• Ability to undertake physically demanding work safely
• Full UK driving licence
DESIRABLE
• Experience operating lifting equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
