Warehouse Manager
*Up to £40,000 per year
*47 hour week
*20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of our steel stockholding warehouse.
Reporting directly to the Company Directors, you will manage warehouse staff, stock, transport, equipment and Health & Safety, ensuring a safe, efficient and well-organised operation. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to lead by example in a busy, physical warehouse environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising and training warehouse and driver staff
Goods inwards/outwards, stock and quality control
Order picking, packing and bar sawing
Transport planning, loading/unloading and occasional driving
Health & Safety compliance and housekeeping
Maintenance of vehicles and equipment
Security, key holding and overtime management
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in a steel stockholding or similar warehouse environment
Previous supervisory experience (preferred)
Strong organisational and communication skills
Forklift licence and full driving licence
A reliable, hands-on and safety-focused approach
