About the role
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Fire Door Operative to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining the safety and integrity of our buildings. If you take pride in high‑quality workmanship and want to make a real difference in residents’ safety, we’d love to hear from you.
As a Fire Door Operative, you will:
Carry out a wide range of high‑quality repairs to fire doors using a variety of trade skills.
Inspect fire doors in communal areas and within homes that access these areas.
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs in a timely and professional manner.
Attend emergency call-outs, completing repairs where possible or taking steps to ensure buildings are made safe and secure.
Our ideal candidate for this role is someone who:
Strong practical skills and experience in repairs or a relevant trade.
Knowledge of fire door safety standards (or willingness to learn).
A proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
Someone committed to delivering quality work and keeping people safe.
Can develop and maintain effective long term communication channels with a range of differing groups of people, including external agencies.
Can communicate clearly with residents or their authorised representatives to maintain a high level of customer focused service delivery.
