Holt Engineering is looking for an experienced E-commerce Specialist to take ownership of our clients Shopware-based e-commerce platforms. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on driving online revenue through platform optimisation, conversion rate optimisation, checkout improvements, and data-led experimentation.
You’ll play a key role in shaping their e-commerce strategy, improving user experience, increasing conversion rates, and implementing effective upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
The role is office based, Monday to Friday, salary is £55-£75k DOE
Duties for the successful E-commerce Specialist:
- Develop and execute the e-commerce strategy aligned with business and revenue goals
- Manage and optimise Shopware platforms, including customisation and performance improvements
- Analyse customer behaviour using analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings
- Identify friction points across the customer journey and implement improvements
- Optimise product pages, category pages, and landing pages to improve UX and conversion rates
- Lead CRO initiatives, including A/B testing and experimentation
- Optimise checkout flows to reduce abandonment and improve completion rates
- Improve payment journeys, form design, site speed, and trust elements
- Design and implement upselling and cross-selling strategies to increase average order value
- Define KPIs and performance dashboards to support continuous optimisation
Requirements to be considered for this E-commerce Specialist role:
Essential
- 5+ years’ experience in an E-commerce Specialist or similar role
- Strong, hands-on experience with Shopware including customisation
- Solid understanding of e-commerce strategy, UX, and CRO best practices
- Proven experience optimising checkout flows and payment journeys
- Strong analytical skills with tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, or similar
- Ability to turn data insights into clear, actionable improvements
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience driving revenue growth through CRO, merchandising, and personalisation
