Crynodeb
This will include: To monitor, manage and prioritise own workload. To maintain and manage workload in an environment which can be unpredictable, where there are frequent interruptions e.g. answering phone calls, responding to queries and rescheduling and prioritising as required. To be responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative support to the Outpatient Physiotherapy department. To process and log all referrals according to the departmental SOP Process all relevant mail, voicemails, messages and referrals including patient e-mails daily in line with Trust procedures and targets To be responsible for the timely processing of outgoing mail To be the friendly, empathetic and accessible point of contact for patient and carer communication, ensuring that all patients have the opportunity to agree their appointment dates. To receive telephone enquiries, answer any queries if possible and refer on as necessary. General duties To establish and maintain effective communication through all media with all staff. To maintain all area policies and procedures for the department, as required. To support with the day to day oversight of the department such as helping to keep the department tidy, organised, secure and well-managed. To maintain the filing system, making improvements where necessary. To update and maintain appropriate department spreadsheets To ensure confidentiality at all times on all matters relating to patient and personnel information. To work closely with the other therapy Administrator(s) to assist the smooth running of the secretarial and administrative provision including providing cross site cover as necessary. To deputise for the Therapies co-ordinator in their absence as required. To carry out any other duties as may reasonably be expected by the lead therapists.
