Summary

Borders Buses have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Coach Builder to join our team at our busy Galashiels Depot. This is a key role in helping us maintain our fleet to the highest standards and ensuring we continue to provide safe, reliable services to our customers.

About the role

As a Coach Builder, you will:

  • Assess damage damage to fleet
  • Use your paint work, metal work and fabrication skills to repair and maintain the fleet
  • Work within our new, modern paint shop facility.
  • Play an essential role in keeping our vehicles safe, roadworthy, and well-presented.
  • Contribute to a supportive engineering team committed to high-quality workmanship.

What we’re looking for

You will be:

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Detail-orientated, with a strong commitment to quality
  • Experienced in body repair (essential), ideally within PSV or HGV environments

A driving licence is required and PCV licence is preferable but is not essential.
