An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Ward Leader for the Women’s Health Unit which specialises in gynaecology and early pregnancy care.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated nurse to provide leadership and management of the Women’s Health Unit, being responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality compassionate care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will lead the team to deliver excellent clinical and emotional care to women within the gynaecology outpatient clinics, day case surgery, and early pregnancy care.

The post-holder is responsible for providing motivational leadership on Women’s Health Unit, and the continuing effective and efficient organisation and management of this area. The post holder will ensure that fundamental care standards are achieved, and will provide a visible presence on the unit, and be accessible to patients and staff.
The post holder will ensure that quality measures are implemented, and resultant improvement plans are delivered.
The post holder will undertake audit of clinical practice and develop innovative processes for providing feedback to staff.
The post holder will be rostered to work a minimum of one clinical shift per week on the Women’s Health Unit
The post holder will work collaboratively with other staff within the division to support the Leadership Team in the delivery of key performance indicators, service developments and transformation agenda, applicable to area of responsibility.
