Purchasing Administrator
Our client is a leading company in the manufacturing and fabrication industry seeking a skilled Administrator with engineering knowledge and experience to join them.
Duties:
• Provide administrative support to the fabrication workshop and office.
• Coordinate with welding and fabrication teams to support timely project delivery.
• Place material orders with approved suppliers and manage supplier documentation.
• Maintain accurate records, including work orders, safety documents, quality checks, and traceability files.
• Support scheduling, resource planning, and logistics for ongoing projects.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ, SSiP and EN 1090/ISO 9001 requirements.
• Manage goods in/out, verifying deliveries, resolving discrepancies, and recording documentation (including photos of outbound goods).
• Assist with non conformance reporting and supplier resolution.
• Support internal/external audits through accurate, accessible documentation.
• Monitor stock levels for PPE and consumables.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes.
Skills:
• Ability to reprioritise tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
• Flexibility to carry out duties outside normal responsibilities when required.
• Procurement experience and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Previous administrative experience in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Strong organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of HSEQ, UKCA BS EN 1090, ISO 9001 and SSiP standards (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Experience in logistics or supply chain management (desirable).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle confidential information professionally.
