Sports Coach Required
Location: North West
Start Date: February 2025
Contract: Full-time, ongoing (part time hours will be considered)
Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic Sports Coach to support pupils in a college environment. This role involves supporting students with BTEC Level 2 First Award, Level 3 Sports Coaching and Development and Extended Certificate Year 2. The position is full-time and available for a February start.
The ideal candidate for this Sports Coach role will have prior experience working with children and a background in sports or physical activities is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities of the Sports Coach:
• Support pupils with BTEC Level 2 First Award, Level 3 Sports Coaching and Development and Extended Certificate Year 2
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering sports sessions tailored to the needs of the pupils
• Encourage pupil participation and promote positive behaviour during sports and outdoor education
• Help with the setup, supervision, and safe use of sports equipment and outdoor spaces
• Support pupils’ physical, social, and emotional development through structured activities
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs
• Maintain records of pupil participation and progress in sports activities
• Promote a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils during physical activities
Requirements for the Sports Coach:
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Recent experience working with children within the last two years is essential
• Excellent knowledge of the curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Ability to provide two professional references from recent roles working with children
• Hold a current DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
